How the Law of Attraction and Manifestation Can Transform Your Life

You attract who you are—consciously or unconsciously.

Your external world is merely a reflection of your inner energy. When I first learned about this concept, the idea that my internal energy could attract life circumstances was fascinating. Even more profound was the realization that I am responsible for everything that happens in my life—every situation, every relationship, and even the money I receive.

When you’re happy, it seems like the universe conspires to amplify your joy: smooth commutes, unexpected blessings, or effortless progress. On the other hand, sadness or negativity can lead to setbacks, misunderstandings, or a string of unlucky events.

So, how does this actually work? Let’s explore this concept in depth.

What is the Law of Attraction (LOA)?

The Law of Attraction is the principle that like attracts like.

This universal law is supported by both spiritual beliefs and scientific principles. The energy emitted by your body is influenced by your thoughts and emotions and your body health, which stem from both present and past experiences.

Consciously cultivating positive energy to attract goodness is known as manifestation. However, unresolved or repressed energy from your past can also shape your reality. In such cases, both positive and negative energies may coexist, with the stronger one determining what you attract. This duality can sometimes make life feel confusing or unpredictable.

What are the benefits of understanding the Law of Attraction?

  • Manifest your dream life: By learning how to manage your energy effectively and channel it to your future desire.
  • Experience ease and flow: Life feels less like a struggle; what you need comes naturally without forcing outcomes.
  • Accept your past and current reality: Recognizing that your energy attracted past and current experiences can help you embrace and do the healing from it.
  • Discover root causes: Understanding the connection between your energy and your circumstances can help you identify and address patterns in your life easier.

Before diving into manifestation, it’s essential to work on healing and neutralizing negative emotions and limiting beliefs. Imagine pedaling a bicycle while carrying an elephant—no matter how hard you work, it’s exhausting. Releasing that weight makes moving forward much easier.

Two Types of Manifestation and How to Apply Them

After experimenting with different manifestation methods, I’ve identified two main approaches:

1. Attracting What You Want

This method focuses on aligning your energy with the reality you want to create.

  • Key principle: Maintain the energy of already having what you desire.
  • Techniques to try:
    • Journaling or scripting: Write what you want in the present tense, as if it has already happened. Gratitude journaling is often added to amplify positive energy.
    • Visualization: Create vision boards or visual reminders and keep them where you can see them frequently.
    • Meditation techniques: Use methods like quantum jumping or the Silva method to visualize your desired outcome in a meditative state. Feel as though it’s already real.

Why I moved away from this method: While effective for some, I found this approach created a gap between my current reality and my desired future. When I am in the future I feel bliss and peace, but when I open my eyes and come back to reality, I can feel the unresolve scarcity feeling again. This disconnect left me feeling ungrounded and unsettled, as if I were pushing my ego rather than aligning with my higher self and universe.

2. Letting Go and Aligning with Universal Flow

This approach focuses on releasing negativity and trusting the universe to guide you for your future.

  • Steps I follow:
    1. Write down my goals with ease and clarity.
    2. Examine my motivations—are they driven by control, approval, or fear? Let go of desires rooted in ego. Sometime after the motivation clean up, I feel that I don’t need this thing to anymore because it is just coming from feeling of anticipation, or protection my self. 
    3. Release negative beliefs and emotions related to the goal.
    4. Take necessary actions while surrendering control to God over the outcome.
    5. Stay present, content, and peace in the moment, trusting that the universe provides what’s best, even if I don’t get what I want – it is OK also

Why this works for me: Letting go allows me to trust the natural flow of the universe, which is abundant and kind. Also I feel peace because I already release the lacking emotion and the desire to change this moment. I am able to see that this moment, it is already perfect as it is, and that peace and happiness is always inside me. 


What Happens When Manifestation Doesn’t Work?

If your manifestations aren’t working, here are some things to consider:

  • Check your energy levels: Releasing negative energy raises your vibration, making you more magnetic to positive outcomes. 
  • Examine attachments: Are you overly focused on controlling the outcome? Letting go of control often brings faster results as you surrender more to universe.
  • Divine protection: Sometimes, the universe withholds what we want to protect us. For example, a person you desired might have hidden red flags that would harm you in the long run.

Conclusion

Manifestation begins with managing your energy.

  • Clear negative emotions and limiting beliefs.
  • Purify your desires, ensuring they align with your higher self and not just your ego.
  • Surrender to the flow of the universe and God, trusting that it knows what’s best for you.

Above all, find peace and gratitude in the present moment. Remember, abundance and joy already exist within you if you focus inside.
